Beggars Would Ride

Natalie Shaw is a Liverpudlian in her early thirties, life isn’t exactly what she’d planned. A chance encounter at spoken word poetry night leads her to Gwen Robertson, a primary school teacher and recent arrival in Liverpool. After a few fumbled rendezvous, their relationship goes beyond a one-night stand, much to everyone’s surprise.

Despite their differences a precarious romance develops. But can Natalie overcome the shame of her past or will old habits - and an estranged sister - scupper her chances of a different kind of life?
