Dark Liquid Skies

What if you woke up with no memory, wearing a dead man's face?

'A lovely sci-fi salade de fruit de mer.' C.M Kosemen, author of All Tomorrows

When Pseudomorph washes ashore in Bek-by-Soup, he has no idea who he is or how he got there. Everyone seems to recognise him as Kylo Krink, a detective who died months ago, but Pseudomorph has no memory of Krink’s life, or of the man he might once have been.

In the floating city of Bek-by-Soup, nothing is certain: temporal storms rage and the past bleeds into the present. But somewhere among its crooked cops, underworld criminals and strange inhabitants lies the truth about what happened to Krink.

As Pseudomorph follows the traces left behind by his former self, he becomes entangled in a mystery. One where identity is fluid, memory can’t be trusted, and discovering the truth is more dangerous than remaining in the dark.

Darkly funny, wildly imaginative and steeped in hard-boiled noir, Dark Liquid Skies is a brilliantly original science-fiction mystery about memory, identity and the possibility of becoming someone new.
