This is a very well-written (and often entertaining) summary of scientific research documenting just how racist we all are. He also evaluates the effectiveness of many of the efforts to end racism. Best of all, the author has many good suggestions for action against racism, both personal and societal. My only regret is that he doesn't speak of the effectiveness (or otherwise) of busing children to integrate schools; I suppose that was a bigger issue in the USA than in the UK.
